Description of Project:
The Gannett Gallery is an art gallery located within SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The gallery provides temporary exhibition space for SUNY Polytechnic students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as for local and visiting artists. The website provides information about the gallery and about our exhibitions. It also contains an archive of all our exhibitions since 2020, including several web-based online exhibits.
How it was Made:
I originally created this site in 2020 so that we could continue to exhibit art throughout the pandemic shutdown. But the website continued to be useful after re-opening in 2022.
I coded this website with HTML, CSS, and (mostly) vanilla Javascript. I have had students contribute pages over the years, and make minor changes and additions here and there.
